Gaza must be evacuated within 48 hours! Otherwise, the situation will become very bad. UN claims!
................................................................................
The United Nations (UN) has warned that if the necessary food aid does not reach Gaza within 48 hours, the situation could become even more serious. The UN's head of humanitarian affairs, Tom Fletcher, said in a recent BBC Radio 4 interview that the lives of 14,000 newborns in Gaza are at risk if immediate aid does not arrive. However, this figure was an estimate, reflecting the severity of the situation, not a definite prediction.
The food crisis in Gaza is already serious. According to the UN, almost the entire population of Gaza needs urgent food aid. More than one-sixth of children in north Gaza suffer from acute malnutrition.
However, according to recent reports, there are difficulties in getting humanitarian aid to Gaza. Israel has allowed limited aid trucks to enter Gaza, but distribution is being delayed due to security procedures and other reasons. This threatens to worsen the situation even further.
Therefore, the United Nations and other international organizations are stressing the need for immediate and adequate food aid in Gaza, to prevent a humanitarian crisis.
