Recently, US media reports have claimed that the Trump administration is planning to permanently settle about 1 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip in Libya. According to reports, under this plan, the US is considering releasing billions of dollars of aid to Libya that has been blocked for decades. This proposal is currently under serious consideration and has been discussed with the Libyan leadership.
However, Libya's National Unity Government has completely denied this report. They say that this claim is "completely false" and Libya has never made any plans to settle Palestinians. They also clarified that this report is "absolutely fabricated" and has not been released by any official Libyan institution.
Meanwhile, Libya has condemned Israel's aggression in Gaza and reiterated its commitment to the rights of Palestinians. The Libyan Parliament and the High State Council have demanded to break ties with Israel's supporters and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Therefore, at the moment there are no official plans to resettle Palestinians from Gaza in Libya. This is a controversial and sensitive issue on which there are differences between the various parties.
